Wow. You listed most movies there that I like. Just add the rest of the Harry Potter films (haven't seen part 2 of the Deathly Hallows yet, though) and there you go.

……hey, Danson? Delta-40? You still there? Man it's been awhile since I've seen him. I hope he didn't get sucked into another time portal…thingy. Thought temporal tampering was against regulations. I'll bet Scout would have a few words…eh….

hmmm… I am somewhat of a WWII geek, so I would say (out of the list) Saving PVT Ryan.Smile

Well, Major Danson (you are a major, right?), it really depends on the genre you are interested in. There is action adventure, science fiction, romance, fantasy, tragedy, comedy, and… you get the point. I think you should go for comedy, science fiction, and romance first. Movies with romance might teach you a thing or 2 on how to communicate with ladies like Colonel Vespa. But on the other hand, those movies can get boring. You should try watching Star Wars. You will be surprised to find how familiar it will all seem.

Well, Nar Shaddaa would be really awkward because the massive crowds would be staring at his rifle drooling like mindless Veermoks. I'd say Dantooine is his best bet in that selection. I've been there. I hear tell that the Pirate Outpost has a theater in the backroom of the cantina, but those are just rumors. Or was it the Mining Outpost? Pssh, but miners tend to be a bit boring, though there are some with some wild tales here and there. If you really want to risk it, Danson…..you could try the cantina at the Imperial Outpost there. The outpost has lots of personnel to talk to if you're bored. Dantooine is rather remote and I doubt the garrison there would have gotten the order to find and exterm—I mean talk to you.

Recently I watched the movie Battle: LA. I liked it. Not sure if you're that into action, though. Maybe I should find a movie involving rain? You….still like rain, right? I know I do. Let's see here…ah….hmm, what do we have?? Ah yes, we have 28 Days Later. Though, the infected people might scare the Force out of you. Ah! Back to the Future: Part 2 had some rain in it! Mmm, yes, and Jurassic Park! But this would imply that you'd only watch movies with rain in them….and I don't want to limit your selection. Hmm…I guess I could find more movies to recommend. Or I'd just watch Pixar films like the good guy before me suggested.

Hm… Well Pixar is a given since unless you're a hutt or a 'friend' of one then you have little to no chance of disliking their work. Try Up or Wall-E on for size. Other than that? Not quite sure. One thing I know is that you sometimes happen to realize that you like something you never thought you would so you should try everything. For that I suggest a look at Stephen Chow's work and Gattaca!

I wouldn't hurry to the first intergalactic cinemaplex though, don't forget that the empire is still looking for you. Try a planet with few ties to them like Dantooine, Bespin or if you figured out the use of that rifle of yours: Nar Shadaa. Nasty piece of business that planet is but they've got pretty much every movie out there.

Did you know that if you go to the bridge which they jump over at start of the movie on Google Maps, there is actually a little police car above the opening bridge as part of the 3D model for the bridge? Little piece of pointless but awesome trivia ;)

Not really that obvious–plus, ACA isn't a movie.

And, this may be a surprise, but not a single Star Wars is in my Top 10!

Last I checked, my ever changing list was something like this:

1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
2. *Cough* Rule #1 *Cough*
3. Stranger than Fiction
4. The Shawshank Redemption
5. Out of Sight
6. Shaun of the Dead
7. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
8. Groundhog Day
9. Memento
10. Trading Places
11. Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World
12. The Iron Giant
13. Leon: The Professional
14. Aliens
15. L.A. Confidential
16. Die Hard
17. A Fish Called Wanda
18. The Matrix
19. Terminator 2
20. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

With honorable mentions for (in no particular order):

Three Kings
Amelie
Run Lola Run
The Big Lebowski
Traffic
The Usual Suspects
Black Hawk Down
Go
Pulp Fiction
Breakdown
Dirty Pretty Things

Let the flame war begin.

My Memory leak is bigger than I thought. How did I not remember to mention Stranger than Fiction? I am genuinely disappointed in myself right now. Even more so after realizing that I managed to reach year two of my "Dude, you should totally write up 'Big Lebowski' on your to-do list before you forget to watch it… again." streak. I'm terrible.

Not sure if I could list Shaun of the Dead without at least noting Hot Fuzz along with it, but that's just me.

Say, is it just me who feels a warm little tingle when thinking about Prometheus, the apparent extension of the Aliens universe now that it was mentioned? Reasonable caution aside, it sounds great to me!

And yes, very true indeed Danson :) Still, if we would count that this topic would rather be about "Spot the infiltrator".
